Elliot Anderson Transfer: Man City Agree Deal with Nottingham Forest

The Elliot Anderson transfer is now close to completion after Manchester City reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest for the England midfielder.

The Premier League champions confirmed the deal on Thursday, 2 July, revealing that the 23-year-old has already undergone a medical examination in Kansas while on international duty with England.

City said the remaining paperwork will be completed after Anderson returns to England, before he is officially unveiled as the club’s newest signing.

British media reports claim the deal is worth around €135 million, making Anderson the second most expensive signing in Premier League history. Only Alexander Isak’s reported €145 million transfer to Liverpool ranks higher.

Nottingham Forest also announced that an agreement had been reached, adding that the timing of the transfer allows the midfielder to remain fully focused on England’s FIFA World Cup campaign.

The club praised Anderson for his commitment during his time at the City Ground and said a formal farewell would be made after the tournament.

For now, Forest wished Anderson and the England squad the very best as they continue their quest for World Cup success.

Anderson has developed into one of England’s most promising midfielders thanks to his impressive performances for Nottingham Forest.

His energy, creativity and composure on the ball have attracted interest from several top European clubs, but Manchester City moved quickly to secure his signature. Once the deal is completed, he is expected to strengthen Pep Guardiola’s midfield options ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
