Kajjansi Police Arrest Two Suspects Over Aggravated Robbery in Kitende

The Kajjansi Police Division has arrested two suspects in connection with an aggravated robbery that occurred on 21st August 2026 in Sekiwunga Cell, Kitende Ward, Kajjansi Town Council, Wakiso District.

According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson, ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the suspects, who were reportedly armed with pangas, attacked occupants at a home and robbed them of several items.

“Police arrested the first suspect, Kakoza Derrick, a motorcycle rider, on 22nd August 2026; some of the stolen property was recovered from his home during a search,” he said.

Owoyesigyire noted that following continued investigations, the second suspect, Mukalasi John Bosco, alias Ali Junior, was arrested on 25th August 2026.

“He had reportedly been released from Kigo Prison about a month ago, where he had been serving a sentence following his arrest by Kira Police in 2023 in connection with aggravated robbery,” he said.

Owoyesigyire further revealed that both suspects are currently detained at Natete Police Station and will be handed over to Kajjansi Police Division for completion of enquiries and subsequent production before court.
