KAMPALA — Ugandan rapper Ivan Wabwire, popularly known as Da Agent, is one of the pioneers of Lugaflo music in Uganda. He is also one of the most recognizable voices in Ugandan hip-hop.
Da Agent is known for his fast rap delivery and energetic stage performances.
Da Agent began rapping while still in school in Bwaise. He took part in freestyle sessions before turning professional in 2015.
From the beginning, he built his identity in Ugandan hip-hop. He became closely linked to the growing Lugaflo rap style.
Over the years, Da Agent has released several songs that helped grow his audience in Ugandan hip-hop.
These include Njukunju, Baliwa, Ngalo Ngalo, One Day, and Bamungamba.
His music blends hip-hop with Luganda and urban Ugandan sounds. This has made him one of the strongest voices in Lugaflo music.
Da Agent has maintained a strong online presence through his DA AGENT OFFICIAL YouTube channel.
He regularly releases new music videos and projects.
This has helped him stay relevant in the Ugandan hip-hop industry.

Da Agent’s work in Ugandan hip-hop and Lugaflo music has earned him several awards.
In 2016, he won Best LugaFlow/Rap Song at the Zzina Awards.
He later won Best LugaFlow/Rap Artist in 2017 and 2018.
He was also named Central Rapper of the Year at the UG Hip Hop Awards.
Beyond music, Da Agent is praised for promoting Buganda culture through Lugaflo rap in Uganda.
He has performed at events attended by the Kabaka of Buganda. This has strengthened his influence in Ugandan hip-hop culture.
Despite changing trends in Uganda’s music industry, Da Agent has remained consistent in the Ugandan hip-hop scene.
He continues to represent and promote Lugaflo music in Uganda.
Many artists have shifted to other genres, but he has stayed focused.
