Ntungamo man trying to kill Parish boss using a sharp panga

The police in Ntungamo district are holding a man who tried to assassinate the parish chairman using a sharp panga.

Speaking to uncoveredug news reporters, the victim said he had nothing like a grudge with the suspect and wondered why he wanted to kill him.

However, the suspect is Gilbert Kanamugire, who tried to kill Keina Ward Chairperson Katon Steven, though God used his protecting hand to save a life.

Furthermore, the chairman is in good condition since he managed to make an alarm and the assailant (suspect) ran away before harming him.

By press time, Kamuhangire (the suspect) was detained at the Rwentobo police station in Rwentobo-Rwahi Town Council, Ntungamo District, waiting to be taken to the courts of law.

In conclusion, it is alleged that on Saturday night, January 17th, the victim (chairman) met Kanamugire on his way home from Kimara Trading Center, and the suspect picked up a panga from his outfit and attacked the chairman, who made an alarm that caused the suspect to run away and go home.
