Napoli have officially secured the permanent signing of Denmark striker Rasmus Højlund from Manchester United in a deal worth around €50 million ($58.08 million), following a successful loan spell in Italy.
Both clubs confirmed the transfer on Wednesday, bringing an end to Højlund’s short return to Serie A after leaving the Premier League side on a temporary deal for the 2025–26 season.
The 23-year-old forward impressed during his loan period, netting 16 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions. His contributions helped Napoli lift the Supercoppa Italiana and finish as runners-up in Serie A.

Højlund originally joined Manchester United from Atalanta in 2023, where he made a strong impact by scoring 26 goals in 95 appearances for the English club.

During his time at Old Trafford, he was part of the squad that won the FA Cup in May 2024, featuring as a substitute in the final against Manchester City at Wembley.
After spending the current season back in Italy on loan, Napoli moved to make his stay permanent.
Manchester United confirmed his departure, wishing him success in the next chapter of his career.
