Popular Ugandan comedy duo Sammie and Shawa have escaped injury after a road accident on their way to Hoima for a scheduled performance.
According to Shawa, who was driving, the incident happened at night. A cow suddenly crossed the road.
Shawa said he reacted quickly to avoid a direct collision. He swerved the vehicle. He hit the animal on one side. The impact caused minor damage, including a broken side mirror and a dented bonnet.
Despite the frightening experience, all five occupants escaped without injuries.

“We were heading to Hoima when a cow suddenly crossed the road. We thank God everyone in the car is safe,” Shawa said.
The vehicle carried five people: Sammie, Shawa, Cyrus, Masaka, and Jammie M.

Following the incident, Shawa urged livestock owners to keep animals away from busy roads, especially at night. He warned that stray cattle are a serious danger to motorists.
He described the accident as a reminder of how quickly lives can be at risk on Uganda’s roads. He expressed gratitude that it did not end in tragedy.

The comedy duo later continued their journey after confirming that none of the passengers were injured.
