Kampala — Police in Kampala have arrested 27 women in online streaming arrests following a crackdown on an alleged online adult streaming operation targeting foreign clients.
The raid was carried out by the Directorate of Crime Intelligence at a facility where officers reportedly found a group of young women preparing for online broadcasts. Authorities say the content was allegedly streamed to audiences outside Uganda through digital platforms.

Investigators have linked the operation to former Obsessions music group manager Ronnie Mulindwa, who is currently on the run. Two other suspects, identified as Martin Male and a woman known as Zeisha, are also being sought.
Police believe the suspects coordinated the recruitment of women from multiple districts, including Kampala, Mukono, Wakiso, Masaka, Lyantonde, and parts of Busoga.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Rachel Kawala confirmed the arrests and said investigations are ongoing to dismantle the wider network.
“We have also arrested a security guard who was on duty at the premises during the operation,” she said.

Among those detained was Vivian Gobera, identified as Mulindwa’s girlfriend. Investigators say she revealed that participants were given alternative identities to hide their real names during online sessions.
Preliminary findings suggest the operation mainly targeted international clients, with access allegedly restricted within Uganda and other East African countries.
Authorities further allege that participants were paid in foreign currency for their involvement.
Investigators also say some individuals linked to the network may have been involved in private entertainment arrangements held at hotels, residences, and high-end venues in Kampala, Wakiso, and Mukono.
Police say investigations are ongoing, with more arrests expected as efforts to track down suspects continue.
