Renowned Ugandan gospel singer Judith Babirye has thrilled her supporters after revealing plans to stage a major concert in Uganda, marking what would be her long-awaited return to the local music scene.
Babirye shared the exciting update during a live phone conversation with Pastor Wilson Bugembe while he was leading a fundraising event for Worship House International Ministries.
Although she stopped short of announcing an official date, the award-winning gospel artist disclosed that she is considering Serena Hotel Kampala and Kololo Airstrip as possible venues for the highly anticipated event.
According to Babirye, the concert is expected to take place next year and will serve as a special homecoming celebration for the fans who have continued to support her throughout the years.

The celebrated singer has spent the past few years away from Uganda’s music industry after venturing into politics, where she served as the Woman Member of Parliament for Buikwe District. She later relocated to Canada, where she focused on family life and ministry, including establishing a church.
