Ronald Alimpa released from prison after Kasanje concert scuffle, the Ugandan singer has regained his freedom after spending more than a month in custody over an alleged confrontation with security officers in Kasanje.
Videos circulating on social media show the “Seen Don” hitmaker leaving prison with a smile as he was welcomed by close friends and fellow musicians. Among those present were veteran Kadongo Kamu artist Mamuli Katumba and Record Ella Butida, who gathered outside to receive him following his release.
Alimpa’s arrest stemmed from an incident connected to a concert he had organized in Kasanje. Reports indicate that security officials questioned the event after it was allegedly held without the required authorization.

According to accounts of the incident, officers attempted to stop the performance, but the singer insisted on proceeding with the show. The disagreement reportedly escalated into a physical confrontation between Alimpa and the security personnel.

Police further alleged that during the altercation, the singer attempted to grab an officer’s firearm. The claims formed part of the case that led to his detention.
Following his arrest, reports also emerged alleging that Alimpa had been under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident. However, his management strongly denied the allegations, insisting there was no evidence to support the claims.
The circumstances surrounding his release have not yet been officially explained, and it remains unclear whether any legal proceedings related to the case are still ongoing.
Alimpa has not publicly commented on his release, but many of his supporters have already taken to social media to celebrate his return, expressing hope that he will soon resume his music career.
The circumstances behind Ronald Alimpa released from prison remain partly unclear as investigations continue.
