Among these, two students have been granted the nod to face off for the top seat: Guild President. However, Agira Birungi and Emmanuel Gerald Abura are already on the ground to pave their way as the 26th Guild President of UCU.
A virtual presidential debate is expected to take place next week, on November 13. This will help showcase some of the candidates’ potential to the voters.
The electoral commission picked November 14, 2023, as the D-day for this year’s elections.
- In conclusion, it is important to note that other leadership positions will be voted for on a similar date with the subsequent declaration of successful candidates. Additionally, all elected students will be sworn in on November 21, 2023.
