Vipers SC players are set for a massive cash reward after successfully defending the Uganda Premier League title for the second consecutive season.
The Venoms sealed the 2025/26 league crown on Tuesday evening after defeating Maroons FC 3-0 at Wankulukuku Stadium.
The victory confirmed Vipers as league champions for the eighth time in the club’s history, further cementing their dominance in Ugandan football.
Earlier this season, club president Lawrence Mulindwa had promised the squad a whopping Shs300 million bonus if they retained the league title — a promise that will now be fulfilled following their triumph.

Back in March, Uncovered UG had already reported Mulindwa’s pledge to motivate the players in the title race.

This is not the first time the club has rewarded the team this season. Vipers players also received Shs 50 million after finishing top of the league table at the end of the first round.
In addition to the club bonus, Vipers will pocket Shs 60 million in prize money from the Federation of Uganda Football Associations for winning the league.
Following their title success, Vipers will now represent Uganda in next season’s CAF Champions League, where clubs compete for billions in prize money depending on how far they progress in the competition.
