Renowned entertainer MC Fish has opened up about his liver damage, revealing that he is seeking financial help to access further treatment. He says years of excessive alcohol consumption contributed to his health problems.
The former television presenter and comedian made the emotional revelation during an appearance on Spark TV, where he spoke about his health struggles and appealed to well-wishers to help him access further medical treatment.
MC Fish said he frequently fell ill before doctors recommended that he undergo a scan, which later revealed the liver damage he is now battling. According to him, the results showed significant damage to his liver.
He attributed the condition to his long history of alcohol consumption, saying he started drinking at the age of 14.
“It started as a joke but later became a serious issue. When I went for a scan, they found my liver so damaged. Waragi caused it,” MC Fish said.
He also revealed that alcohol had been part of his family’s lifestyle and urged people who drink heavily to take their health seriously.
MC Fish said he is currently struggling financially and has been relying on daily medication to manage the pain as he seeks proper treatment at a bigger hospital.
He appealed to his former friends and other well-wishers, particularly those living abroad, to come to his aid.
“At this point, I’m not financially stable and I call upon all well-wishers to help me. I need to live and I promise I will never drink again,” he said.
MC Fish specifically called on some of his old friends, including Toolman, Ronnie Banton and General Mega Dee, to support him during what he described as a difficult period.

Beyond his health and financial struggles, MC Fish also opened up about his personal life.
He said he is currently living a lonely life after his wife of six years left him. According to the entertainer, his demanding work schedule, which often saw him return home in the early hours of the morning, contributed to problems in their relationship.
MC Fish said the couple had seven children together.
He also claimed that pastors played a role in his wife’s departure, although he did not provide further details.
For now, MC Fish is appealing for support as he seeks further medical care and hopes to recover from his health challenges.
