Yesterday on 13th December 2022, In Lusail Stadium (Qatar) there was “tears of joy” when their new maradona “Messi” and his teammates did wonders against Croatia to ensure that they reach the finals of the 2022 Qatar World Cup. Messi has been on form since the Quarter finals which they played against Netherlands, he was exceptional and yesterday he did wonders at the stadium especially the assist he made to Julian Alvarez.
In 34th minute, Croatia’s goal keeper Dominik Livakovic brought down Argentina’s striker Julian Alvarez by tackling him in the box. Messi scored the penalty to make it 1-0 for his team.
“Remember Croatia in the whole match had only one shot on target,”.
It was a bad disappointing day for Croatia captain Luka Modric who is 37 years old and he is probably not going to play another world cup because he will be too old for it, so this was his last World cup. Argentina dominated the whole game both the first half and the second half with possession 67% to 33%.
After celebrating their victory and waving to the Argentina supporters, uncovered news reporters interacted with Messi after the match and he told us that “A lot is going through my head – it’s very emotional seeing all of this,”.
