Budaka, Uganda — April 17, 2026 — A fatal road accident in Budaka District has claimed the life of a motorcycle passenger after a collision involving a car and a motorcycle carrying an engineer and another rider.

The crash has left the local community in shock as police begin investigations into the exact cause of the incident.

Accident Details

According to preliminary reports, the accident occurred when a car collided with a motorcycle carrying two people — an engineer and a passenger — along a busy road in Budaka District.

The impact left the passenger with severe injuries, and he was pronounced dead shortly after the incident.

The motorcycle rider, identified as an engineer, survived the crash but sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

Police Investigation

Police in Budaka confirmed the incident and said investigations are ongoing to establish the exact cause of the crash.

Authorities are examining whether overspeeding, reckless driving, or road conditions contributed to the accident. The vehicles involved were taken to the police station for further inspection.
