Newcastle United have some big decisions to make in the final 10 days of the January transfer window. They said no to Bayern Munich’s loan offer for defender Kieran Trippier and rejected a similar deal from Atletico Madrid for striker Callum Wilson. The club has spent over £400 million since October 2021, and financial rules are now a concern.

Trippier, the first signing in January 2022, has 18 months left on his contract. They’re not eager to sell, but if there’s a good offer, they might consider it, especially with Tino Livramento’s arrival.

However, the CEO mentioned possible dilemmas due to a £73.4m loss in their latest financial report. He admitted that every player has a price as they try to balance the books.

Wilson, with 18 months remaining, is a crucial backup to Isak. He has some fitness issues, but they won’t let him go without a replacement.

Additionally, European clubs are testing waters elsewhere, not targeting key players like Sven Botman or Bruno Guimaraes.

In conclusion, Newcastle faces a tricky situation as the transfer window closes, juggling financial constraints and potential offers for key players.
