Ukrainian officials said the attacks involved ballistic missiles and drones. The strikes targeted both civilian and industrial areas.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko urged residents to remain in shelters as smoke rose over parts of the capital after multiple blasts.
“The enemy is using ballistic missiles,” said Tymur Tkachenko, head of Kyiv’s Military Administration. Emergency teams responded to damaged buildings.

Authorities said fires broke out near residential blocks, a petrol station, and construction sites. Power outages were also reported in several parts of the city.
Major cities hit as rescue operations continue
In Russia, emergency services in the Krasnodar region reported a fire at the Ilsky oil refinery following a drone strike. Officials said there were no casualties.
The exchange of attacks comes amid rising tensions between Moscow and Kyiv. Both sides have accused each other of escalating strikes on critical infrastructure and military targets.
In Kharkiv, officials said at least 10 people, including a child, were injured in separate overnight missile and drone attacks.
Authorities said investigations are ongoing, while rescue operations continue in affected areas.
