Master Parrot Dies in Tragic Northern Bypass Accident

KAMPALA — Uganda’s entertainment industry is mourning veteran musician David Sifaayo, better known as Master Parrot.

The popular singer died in a road accident along the Kampala Northern Bypass on Monday evening.

According to preliminary reports, the crash happened in the Masanafu area.

Police say Master Parrot was allegedly struck by a speeding motorcycle while crossing the highway.

Witnesses said he suffered severe injuries and died at the scene before medical help arrived.

His body was later taken to the city mortuary as investigations into the accident continue.

A Pioneer of Ugandan Music

Master Parrot became famous in the early 2000s.

During that period, he emerged as one of the most recognizable artists in Uganda’s music industry.

He gained popularity through hit songs such as Muliro and Ekikompola.

As a result, he built a loyal following and earned a place among Uganda’s notable entertainers.
