KAMPALA — Fans of singer Karole KasitaKarole Kasita can breathe a sigh of relief after the Ministry of Health officially cleared her upcoming concert, “The Power Within,” to proceed as scheduled on Friday, 29th May 2026.
The announcement comes after days of uncertainty sparked by concerns over Uganda’s ongoing Ebola alert, which had raised questions about whether large entertainment events would be allowed to continue.
Ministry of Health Approves Concert Under Strict Health Guidelines
The clearance was issued by the Director General of Health Services, Prof. Charles Olaro, confirming that the event may go ahead provided strict public health measures are observed.

According to the Ministry, the approval followed a review of safety protocols submitted by event organizers in line with Uganda’s Ebola prevention guidelines.
Attendees will be required to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), including health screening, hygiene compliance, and other preventive measures aimed at reducing health risks.
Concert Confirmed at Kampala Serena Hotel
Despite earlier uncertainty, organizers have confirmed that the concert will take place at the Kampala Serena Hotel on the originally planned date.
Karole Kasita’s management also reaffirmed that preparations are in their final stages, promising fans a high-energy entertainment experience.
The event, branded “The Power Within,” is expected to feature a star-studded lineup of guest performers alongside Karole Kasita.
Temporary Uncertainty Over Public Gatherings
The concert had earlier faced speculation due to concerns over whether public gatherings should proceed under the Ebola alert period.
However, health authorities later clarified that approved events can continue as long as they comply with established safety and prevention guidelines.
Official Ticket Prices Released
Organizers have confirmed the ticket rates for the concert as follows:
Ordinary ticket—UGX 150,000
Tables—UGX 3,000,000
VIP Tables — UGX 5,000,000
Tickets are currently available through official sales channels.

Karole Kasita is expected to deliver a powerful live performance featuring her hit songs, alongside guest artists, in what is shaping up to be one of Kampala’s biggest entertainment events of the season.
