Kampala, Uganda — April 28, 2026 — Court proceedings in the Kivumbi terrorism case were halted on Tuesday after the suspects rejected allegations presented by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
During the hearing, the accused persons reportedly distanced themselves from key allegations, challenging the prosecution’s position and forcing a temporary pause in the case.
The development marks another setback to the high-profile matter, which has experienced several delays in recent months due to legal and procedural issues.

DPP Response Expected
The DPP, the government body responsible for criminal prosecutions in Uganda, is expected to respond to the objections raised as the case returns to court.
