Ugandan dancer Wembly Mo has been praised for making an incredible personal sacrifice that helped the Triplets Ghetto Kids travel to the United States for their memorable performance at the FIFA World Cup halftime show.
The revelation was made by the group’s manager, Dauda Kavuma, shortly after the dancers returned to Uganda following their international performance alongside global music superstars Shakira and Burna Boy.
According to Kavuma, the Ghetto Kids received the prestigious invitation but struggled to raise enough money to cover their air tickets. Faced with uncertainty, he reached out to Wembly Mo for help.

“I told him that I had no idea what to do after getting the invitation, and he said he didn’t have money but gave me his car to sell. He wasn’t even part of us who went,” Kavuma revealed.
The manager described Wembly Mo’s gesture as one of the most selfless acts he has witnessed, noting that the dancer chose to put the group’s success ahead of his own personal interests.
Kavuma also revealed that Wembly Mo has quietly supported many people over the years without seeking recognition, adding that he felt it was important to publicly acknowledge the sacrifice that made the historic trip possible.
He credited Wembly’s generosity as one of the major reasons the Ghetto Kids were able to grab the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform on one of the world’s biggest stages.
The Triplets Ghetto Kids have continued to build Uganda’s reputation internationally, earning recognition through performances at major global events and sharing stages with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry.
