UEDCL has released a planned power shutdown schedule as a result of its planned maintenance and repair programs that started last week.
To upgrade our network and ensure a safer, more reliable electricity supply, planned power shutdowns and maintenance will take place. Plan ahead by checking the full schedule,” reads the UECDL statement issued today, Monday, May 12, 2025.
Monday, 12th May 2025 Kole Kamdini 33 kV from Aboke works; replacement of T-off lay pole at Aboke Kamdin, Kamdini, Aboroneno, Amwa, Chobe Safari Lodge, National Water Karuma, and Bobi.

Monday, 12th May 2025 Kitgum-Madi Opei 33kV Line. Works; Clearance Kitgum Mucwini, Banabana Baracks, Madi Okolo, and Madi Opei.
Tuesday, 13th May 2025 Sheraton Switching Station 11 kV Switchgear. Works; routine maintenance of switchgear affecting Metro Sheraton Hotel.
Tuesday, 13th May 2025 Kole Iceme (Iceme-OtwalAcokala 33 kV). Works; pole replacement and replumbing affecting Acokara Otwal Bakwor, Onyany, and Apoi.
Tuesday, 13th May 2025 Kisubi Kampala South 33 kV from Kisubi. Works: Rotten Poles replacement, T-Off, protection, vegetation management, jumper maintenance & cable maintenance. Affecting Entebbe, Namulanda Water, and Wits College 1 & 2.
Wednesday, 14th May 2025 Hoima-Masindi 33kV Rotten Pole Replacement and Vegetation Clearance affecting all Kamdin customers.
Wednesday, 14th May, 2025, Ntaruka, Rwanda-Kisoro 30 kV Line. Works; clearance affecting Kisoro, Musazi Tee Off, and Bunagana.
Wednesday, 14th May 2025 Jinja Industrial Kamuli 33 kV works: shattered insulator replacement, replacement of ABS, rotten pole replacement, and line clearance affecting Kamuli, Mbulamuti, Lubanyi, and Budima.
