Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, is going to address the nation today, Thursday, February 29, 2024, on a number of issues, including social-economic transformation.
However, he made the revelation at the NRM party offices in Kyadondo, Kampala, on Wednesday afternoon, where he updated his particulars in the party’s register, marking the official launch of the update of the membership register.
“In today’s broadcast, I will address the issue of the social-economic transformation that affects the wananchi,” Museveni said.
Here at uncoveredug, our camers will be ready to present to you the president’s speech. Just be online.
“These are the costs of electricity, water, transport, and the cost of money borrowed from banks… As we lower these costs to rational and realistic levels, we will be able to correctly deal with the issue of the salaries of workers. Otherwise, we are pushing for all-round industrialization, using our raw materials from agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and minerals. The NRM plan has always been to shift people from agriculture to industry and services. Those sectors’ absorption capacity is much bigger than agriculture,” the president said, adding that having too many people in agriculture is a clear sign of underdevelopment
In conclusion, the address is going to be broadcasted live on major TV and radio stations across the country to enable the citizens to know about the social-eeconomic transformation.
