An angry mob has killed a 35 year old man on allegations of stealing a white pig in Bushenyi.

The deceased is Turyagunamwe Pison who was killed in Kirongo village, Nyamirembe parish, Nkanga Sub – county in Bushenyi district. He is a resident of the same area.

It’s alleged that the deceased stole this white pig belonging to Komunda and was caught after he had slaughtered it on 13th May 2023 at around 2:30am. He was taken to the home of Komunda and beaten by an angry mob who are alleged to be Komunda’s employees.

Turyagunamwe who was alleged to have been a habitual cattle thief was then allowed to go but later died on the way.

The Greater Bushenyi police spokesperson SP Martial Tumusiime says Police visited the scene and the body was found along the road with bruises.

Exhibits of a panga, blood stained sticks were recovered but workers who allegedly caused the death disappeared though being traced by Police.

SP Tumusiime said the deceased was taken to KIU teaching hospital mortuary pending Postmortem examination as inquiries continue.

In conclusion, we encourage people to work hard rather than planning to get free things via stealing. Even the Bible says ‘man will get food through sweat’.
