Nicolas Jackson will not be available for the final two games of the Premier League after receiving a straight red card in Chelsea’s game against Newcastle United.
As the race for Champions League qualification is at a high pace, Jackson won’t play the final two games of the campaign following his red card against Newcastle United.
The striker was sent off in the 35th minute at St. James’ Park after catching Magpies defender Sven Botman in the face with a wide elbow. He was initially shown a yellow card, but referee John Brooks upgraded it to a red after being called to the VAR monitor.

A direct red means Jackson will be suspended for Chelsea’s remaining Premier League fixtures against Manchester United and seventh-placed Nottingham Forest and will not return until the UEFA Conference League final against Real Betis on May 28.

The north London side will also remain down one man for the second half against Newcastle after conceding an early goal to Sandro Tonali. Defeat would hamper Chelsea’s chances of securing a top-five finish, as they risk being leapfrogged by Forest, who later host already-relegated Leicester.
Remember, his first goal in 2025 came against Everton on April 26, ending a four-month and 13-game drought that began on December 15 after he netted in Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Brentford.
In conclusion, Nicholas Jackson has endured a difficult season, even more so since the turn of the calendar year, with three yellow cards and one red card.
