WAKISO — Three people have died after a house in Nansana West 1A, Nansana Municipality, Wakiso District, caught fire around midnight in a shocking incident that has left residents stunned.
The deceased are reportedly a landlady and two of her tenants who were inside the house when the fire broke out.

According to information from police, the incident happened during the night, with the circumstances surrounding the fire still under investigation.
Kampala Metropolitan Police North Regional Police Commander SSP Moses Nanoka confirmed the incident and said three bodies had been recovered from the scene.
Preliminary reports indicate that the landlady allegedly locked herself and the two tenants inside the house before the fire started. However, police investigations are expected to establish what exactly happened before and during the fire.
The incident has drawn concern among residents in Nansana West 1A, as investigators work to establish the cause of the fire and the events that led to the deaths.
Police are expected to conduct further investigations, including examining the scene and gathering information from witnesses, to establish how the fire started.
The bodies have been recovered from the scene as investigations continue.
