In Mityana, the territorial police have arrested and taken into custody the LC1 Chairperson of Kibubula B Cell, Busunju Town Council, Mityana District, for aggravated defilement of a 14-year-old female.
However, the suspect, Mukasa Muhammed, 54, who was arrested on Monday, June 17, 2024, allegedly began defiling the victim in March 2024 at his saloon in Busunju Town, where the victim’s mother had taken her to study hairdressing.
According to Rachael Kawala, PRO Wamala Region, the suspect enticed the victim into a sexual relationship and even surrendered one of his salons to her as a means of enticement and accommodation.

Furthermore, we strongly condemn this bad act by a person who should have protected the girl child instead of taking advantage of her vulnerability.
The investigation is ongoing, and we urge anyone with information to come forward to ensure justice for the victim.
In conclusion, preliminary findings indicate that the suspect continued to sexually abuse the victim. The victim has undergone a medical examination, and the scene of the crime has been examined and documented.
