Mariam Ndagire has revealed why she stopped singing. Apparently, she was one of the best female singers in the 2000s. Her music up until now still sounds good and resonates with a lot of people.
Ndagire told uncoveredug news reporters that “I officially bade farewell to singing in 2009. Since then, I have been making films. For singing, I only sing at exclusive parties such as birthdays and weddings. But I no longer sing at concerts.”
Speaking during a local TV interview, Mariam said that she officially stopped singing in 2009. This was in a bid to concentrate on the film industry, where she has also done exceptionally well.

According to the Kiki Onvuma singer, she only sings at intimate occasions such as birthday parties, weddings, and things of that sort. But for public concerts, she no longer does that, and this is partly due to her tight schedule in the film industry.
Besides her illustrious music career, she’s also excelled in film. Ndagire has written films such as Mama Tendo, Nsaali, You Can’t Break My Will, and Dear Mum, to mention but a few.
In conclusion, Mariam Ndagire was one of the biggest stars musically back in the day. She would later join the film industry, where she met and got married to playwright John Ssegawa. Their relationship, however, didn’t last long, as they broke up but had a son together.
