A 41-year-old man, identified as Kelvin Evans, has been sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to breaking into a vehicle and stealing hard drives containing unreleased music by global superstar Beyoncé.
The incident occurred in Atlanta, Georgia, where Evans admitted to breaking into a rented Jeep Wagoneer belonging to members of Beyoncé’s touring team during her Cowboy Carter tour stop in July 2025.
Upon returning to the vehicle, the victims discovered that the rear window had been smashed and several items were missing, including laptops, headphones, luxury clothing, accessories, and hard drives containing unreleased music and sensitive personal data linked to the singer.

Despite investigations, the stolen hard drives have not yet been recovered.

Surveillance footage presented in court showed Evans driving a red Hyundai near the parking garage where the theft occurred, as well as carrying luggage believed to belong to members of Beyoncé’s team.
In addition to the prison sentence, Evans was also handed a three-year probation term and ordered to stay away from the victims and the location where the incident took place.
Prosecutors revealed that he has been in custody since his arrest in August 2025, while awaiting trial. His attorney said he intends to pursue a lawful source of income and reintegrate into society.
The incident took place shortly before Beyoncé’s scheduled performances at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
