KAJJANSI, Uganda — Social media influencer Ken Mukalakasa is currently under investigation following allegations of assault involving a minor. The incident reportedly took place at a house party in Kajjansi, and a video of the alleged assault has circulated online, drawing widespread public attention.
Minister’s Statement
Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, Balaam Barugahara, confirmed the investigation. According to the minister, Mukalakasa initially denied the accusations but later acknowledged some involvement after authorities presented forensic evidence.
“He wanted to deny, and I told him we are going to use forensic evidence to confirm. Now he hasn’t denied,” Balaam said. He also advised Mukalakasa to seek forgiveness from God over the incident.
Public Reaction
The minister’s suggestion that Mukalakasa could be released on bond if cooperative has sparked controversy. Many Ugandans argue that the case should be strictly handled through the courts, given the seriousness of an offense involving a minor. Social media users have actively debated the proper legal and ethical response.

Authorities are continuing their investigations to gather more evidence before filing formal charges. The public has been urged to allow the legal process to run its course while maintaining respect for all parties involved.
