News reaching our media confirms that Chelsea has agreed to a deal to sign Brazilian forward Joao Pedro from Brighton & Hove Albion for a fee of £60 million.
It’s remembered that Pedro joined Brighton from Watford two years ago in a then club-record £30 million deal and has since gone on to score 30 goals in 70 appearances for the Seagulls.
His performances have caught the attention of several top clubs, with Chelsea moving swiftly to secure his signature.

Furthermore, Brazilian rising star Estevao Willian, 18, will also join the Premier League giants after his Club World Cup campaign with Palmeiras.
The 23-year-old’s arrival at Stamford Bridge forms part of a broader trend of high-profile transfers in the 2025 summer window as the Blues look to strengthen their attacking options and re-establish themselves among Europe’s elite.
Pedro’s flair, versatility, and eye for goal are expected to add a new dimension to the team’s front line under Italian manager Enzo Maresca’s evolving project.
Pedro jetted to the United States, where Chelsea are playing in the Club World Cup, on Sunday after the terms of his eight-year contract were agreed. With the transfer now confirmed following a medical, Pedro is available to play for Enzo Maresca’s side in their Club World Cup quarterfinal against Palmeiras in Philadelphia.
In conclusion, Chelsea have already signed striker Liam Delap, midfielder Dario Essugo, and defender Mamadou Sarr this summer.
