The dua for the late blogger, musician, and political critic Isma Olaxess, real name Ibrahim Lubega Tusubira, has been held today at his ancestral home in Nkokonjeru.
The purpose of the dua, which is performed by Muslims, is to seek Allah to pardon the misdeeds of the deceased.
Isma Olaxess is remembered for being one of the best bloggers in Uganda and a great supporter of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party.
The dua has come after the burial of the late Kato Lubwama.
Following his burial in Nkokonjeru Mukono district, Isma’s friends, family, and relatives held his dua ceremony today.
On Saturday, May 6, 2023, Isma Olaxess was gunned down by unknown assailants who ambushed him at his residence in Kyanja, in Wakiso district.
It is at this event, which commenced at 10:00 a.m., that Isma’s former close friends, fans, and relatives will be sharing their fondest recollections of the late singer as well as praying for him.
By press time, the event was still ongoing, and based on the photos and videos accessed by uncovered news reporters, attendees had already started gracing the function.
