Entebbe Municipality to Inject in over Shs150M in service delivery

Entebbe Municipality Mayor, Fabrice Rulinda, said the contracted companies have started constructing the maternal ward at Kigungu Health Centre III and Youth Centre, paving the Katabi Health Centre, and renovating one of the oldest blocks at Chadwick Namate Primary School in Entebbe Municipality.”

However, Fabrice spoke to journalists during the groundbreaking of the construction and renovation works in Entebbe.

Fabrice added that the municipality is aimed at extending service delivery to the people of Entebbe, especially in improving the health and education sectors, as well as establishing areas to support youth initiatives.

“We are ready to employ skilled workers within the area as recommended by the municipal council. We applaud the council officials for again choosing us as the best contractors to partake in the  job.” Kaye said

Counsellor and Chairperson of the Building Committee at Entebbe Municipal Council, Mutebi Nyansio, appealed to the three contractors who have been assigned by the Municipal Council to provide standard work and properly utilize the taxpayer’s resources. Additionally, all infrastructural projects will cost Shs150 million.

Chief Executive Director of Cross-Land Construction Co-Limited Company, Kaye Ivan, said the council has contracted the company to renovate two (2) blocks at Chadwick Namate Primary School in six (6) months for 69 million shillings.

In conclusion, Entebbe Sub-district is comprised of old facilities, including schools and health centers, among others built in the 1970s, that need renovation.
