2026 FIFA World Cup Fixtures Released as England and Scotland Learn Group Opponents
The countdown to the historic 2026 FIFA World Cup has officially begun after FIFA confirmed the full fixture schedule for the tournament set to be hosted across the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
For the first time in World Cup history, 48 nations will compete in an expanded 104-match tournament scheduled to run from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
Hosts Mexico will open the tournament against South Africa at the iconic Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.
England Begins Campaign Against Croatia
The England national football team will kick off their Group L campaign against Croatia on June 17 in Arlington, USA.
England will later face Ghana and Panama as they aim to reach another World Cup final after years of near misses on the international stage.

Football analysts believe England could benefit from a relatively balanced route to the knockout stages.

Scotland: Return to the World Stage
The Scotland national football team is also among the qualified nations and will begin their tournament against Haiti before facing Morocco and five-time champions Brazil in Group C.
