Police have arrested John Baptist Kigozi, the driver linked to the Namulanda road crash that claimed the lives of two Next Media journalists and left their colleague seriously injured.
Their colleague, presenter Brian Ssemanda, popularly known as Makona, survived the crash but sustained serious injuries.
The collision involved a Toyota Allex carrying the journalists and a Toyota Hilux.
Police Promise Further Updates
Kananura said Kigozi will be produced before court at the appropriate time as the legal process gets underway.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deadly collision, with further details expected as the case progresses.
The arrest marks a significant development in a crash that shocked Uganda’s media fraternity and left colleagues, friends and relatives mourning the loss of the two journalists.
