The Ministry of Health, through Dr. Ruth Acheng, has clarified recent media reports circulating that there are many Covid-19 cases in the country.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday, 11th June, 2025, by the Director General of Health Services, Dr. Olaro Charles, the circulating messages on social media are old clips being re-shared by unscrupulous individuals to mislead members of the public.
“The ministry reassures the public that there is no resurgence of Covid-19 in Uganda and the national situation remains stable and fully under control,” reads the statement in part.

Here at uncoveredug.com, we call on everyone to be vigilant on one another for a better Uganda; this will help the country to be disease-free.
He says Uganda is closely monitoring information about new strains of Covid-19 being reported in other parts of the world and is working closely with other stakeholders to ensure the continued safety of the population.
However, the ministry urges anybody who shows flu-like symptoms consistent with Covid-19 to visit the nearest health facility for further management.
In conclusion, Dr. Ruth emphasized the need for the countrymen and women to go to the nearby clinics for checkups to know their current health situations.
