Two welders have been killed in a deadly explosion that occurred at about 1 pm in the Triangle Zone of Njeru Municipality, Buikwe District.
According to uncoveredug reporters, the incident happened as the victims were attempting to work on a metal structure. It is suspected that the explosion may have been caused by mishandling of yet-to-be-identified metal.
Security agencies, including the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), counterterrorism units, and local law enforcement, have cordoned off the area to secure the scene and launch an investigation.
