News reaching our desk says that Marc-Andre ter Stegen has decided not to sign Barcelona’s medical report on his back injury, a necessary step in order to submit it to La Liga’s Medical Committee.
However, the club has decided to open disciplinary proceedings against Marc-Andre ter Stegen after the goalkeeper refused to sign the medical report on his injury, according to ‘Mundo Deportivo.’
The club needed the goalkeeper’s authorization to send the report to La Liga’s Medical Commission, which will decide whether Ter Stegen’s absence will exceed four months and, therefore, whether 80% of his salary can be used to sign new players.

Furthermore, Ter Stegen already challenged the club when he posted on social media, before his back surgery, that he would be out for three months, which prevented the club from making financial adjustments to alleviate Financial Fair Play restrictions.
Ter Stegen now faces disciplinary proceedings and, if the legal services so decide, an internal sanction from the club itself, provided that the Board validates it, according to the source cited.

In conclusion, the German and the club have been at war since the signing of Joan Garcia, which effectively ended the German’s future at the club.
