Fatal Electrocution in Kisoro: Remembering Henry Niyigaba
Yesterday afternoon, tragedy struck Kisoro Municipality as 30-year-old Henry Niyigaba lost his life in a devastating electrocution accident at the former Miami hotel building. Henry, a resident of Nyamirima village, Nyamagana Ward, central division in Kisoro municipality, was a beloved member of his community.
The incident occurred when Henry came into contact with live electricity, causing him to immediately lose consciousness. Despite swift efforts to rush him to the Touch to Heart Medical Center, located opposite the former Miami hotel building, Henry tragically passed away before any medical assistance could be provided.
Geoffrey Muhinda, the manager of the UMEME Kisoro branch, confirmed the heartbreaking news, attributing the accident to the negligence of the building owners. He stressed the crucial importance of exercising caution when dealing with electricity, urging all residents to remain vigilant at all times.
