Popular Ugandan Comedian Patrick Salvado Idringi has announced the death of his father. Taking to his social media handles, the comedian said that his father passed away on Sunday night. The comedian revealed that he’s been performing through pain for the last year.
He revealed that his father gave him the green light to quit engineering for a career in comedy. He told him that as long as it made him happy, that’s all that matters.
“Sunday, March 24th, 2024, 22:24 hrs. My father has bowed out. RIP, Baba.
However, the love of his father has kept him going and doing what he has to do. Salvado revealed that his father loved watching him make other people happy.
Furthermore, I’ve been performing through pain since last year, but it’s the only thing that kept me going. I loved seeing other people happy. My dad loved watching me make other people happy. I’ll forever be grateful for his approval when I told him I was quitting engineering for comedy. His answer was, “As long as it makes you happy”—RIP, my Superman.”
The comedian has, over time, lavished praise on his dad. They seem to have had a great bond. And despite being in his elderly years, the comedian seems grief-stricken.
In conclusion, Salvado said that his father’s death occurred on the same day as his daughter’s birthday.
