Bebe Cool Blasts Local Promoters Over Disrespect Of Musicians
Singer Big Size Bebe Cool has blasted local promoters for being disrespectful towards musicians. This is after he was asked why musicians of late are choosing to organize their own concerts individually.
The Gagamel boss said that most of these promoters have no regard, manners, or respect for musicians.
He gave an example of event promoters, Bajjo and Eddie Sendi. However, Bebe Cool wondered how someone like Bajjo makes a list of demeaning musicians and the peanut amount they should be paid.
He then talked about Eddie Sendi, who usually badmouthed him on Dembe FM’s Talk and Talk show.
However, one time the owner of Georgina Gardens in Lubya, where Sendi hosts events, requested the Kasepiki singer. And Sendi, who had always trashed Bebe Cool, had now to negotiate with him.
On asking the self-styled Big Size for his fees, Sendi got told 15m, and he tried to negotiate. Bebe then told him to take the money to Chameleone, whom this promoter thinks is the best.
Apparently, Sendi is a big fan of Dr. Jose Chameleone and doesn’t make it secret how the Leone Island boss is miles better than Bebe. Sendi even has fees that he thinks each of these two big artists deserves.
Bebe Cool said that “musicians have started organizing their own shows because of these promoters’ disrespect. Imagine someone went on TV and started demeaning musicians and the peanuts they should be paid. There is Eddie Sendi, who usually badmouths me on their show. But one time, his boss wanted me to perform. He called me, and when I told him my charge, he tried to negotiate. I just told him to take the money to Chameleone, whom he thinks is better and deserves it. After, I called Chameleone and told him to refuse the money and ask for double. Therefore, these promoters should learn to respect the business that feeds them.”.
In conclusion, the singer said that most of these artists are unkempt, dirty, and have poor music. A corporate company therefore cannot work with someone who they think adds no value to them.
