All 36 teams for the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase have now been confirmed ahead of Thursday’s draw, which will take place at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco at 18:00 CET.
Five Spanish clubs make the league phase
Spain will have five representatives in the competition: Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Villarreal and Real Betis.
Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid are among the top seeds in Pot 1, alongside defending champions Paris Saint-Germain and other European heavyweights.
The 2026/27 Champions League league phase will kick off on 8 September 2026, with the opening matchday running until 10 September.
The final league-phase matches will be played on 27 January 2027.

Where will the final be played?
The 2026/27 Champions League season will culminate in the final at Madrid’s Metropolitano Stadium on 5 June 2027.
With all 36 teams confirmed, attention now turns to the draw, as Europe’s biggest clubs discover the opponents they will face on the road to the final.
