Police in Kampala have said they are investigating the cause of a fire outbreak at Café Bravo on Uganda House on Kampala Road that destroyed property worth millions of shillings.
However, Kampala Metropolitan deputy police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, said the fire started at around 5 a.m. on Friday.
Owoyesigyire told uncoveredug news reporters that “the fire, suspected to have ignited around 5 a.m., swiftly engulfed the restaurant premises. Our dedicated team from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Services promptly arrived at the scene and successfully contained the fire before it could spread further throughout the building. However, significant damage to the property ensued.”.

“Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or fatalities resulting from the incident.” he added.
Furthermore, the eyewitnesses said all items in the restaurant’s kitchen, including cash, were burned to ashes. Additionally, the Government of Uganda, should provide support to Café Bravo
In conclusion, he said investigations into the cause of the fire outbreak are currently underway, with investigators gathering evidence at the scene to aid in determining the root cause.
