After a dazzling night in Europe against Lyon, Manchester United were brought crashing back down to earth after suffering another Premier League defeat to Wolves.
Ruben Amorim’s side fell to their 15th league defeat of the season after Pablo Sarabia’s superb free kick after 77 minutes.
However, Manchester United created opportunities for themselves with 18-year-old Harry Amass turning in an impressive performance at left wing-back.

But the hosts again showed a woeful lack of cutting edge up front, with Rasmus Hojlund enduring another afternoon to forget, with Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount also missing big chances off the bench.
20-year-old Tyler Fredricson was handed his debut, with Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro also among those rested.
With a Europa League semi-final against Athletic Club looming, Amorim suggested ahead of Sunday he will turn to the club’s youngsters to manage the final run of games in the Premier League.

Fredricson and Amass were bright sparks on a dull afternoon in Manchester as United very much reverted to type after the elation of Thursday’s win over Lyon.
In conclusion, a win against Manchester United has made Wolves safe with five games of their Premier League campaign remaining.
