Bushenyi Police have arrested two suspects linked to the murder of KIU student Linette Karunga, who was found dead in Nyakashebeya Village. The duo—reported to have been close to the deceased—are currently assisting investigators.
According to the Greater Bushenyi Police spokesperson SP Apollo Tayebwa, the duo identified as Onan Nimwesiga and another man only identified as Farouk were allegedly boyfriends to the deceased.
Tayebwa noted that the suspects are being questioned to assist with ongoing inquiries into the incident.

“We have two suspects in custody who were close to the deceased, and they are assisting us as we work to establish what exactly happened. We appeal to anyone with relevant information to come forward. Public cooperation is key in helping us bring the perpetrator to justice,” he said.
Authorities have urged the public to remain and avoid speculation as police carry out their investigations.
