Robert Sanchez joins Chelsea From Brighton
Chelsea has confirmed the signing of Spain and Brighton’s Robert Sanchez for £25 million on a seven-year deal.
The £25m fee for talking goalkeeper From Brighton to Chelsea is inclusive of further add-ons and a sell-on clause.
The 25 will cover up for fellow Spanish goalie Kepa Arrizabalaga. Sanchez joins Chelsea on a seven-year deal.
Robert Sanchez contract:
The signing of the 25 came after Chelsea sold their former goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy, to Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli earlier this summer.
Robert will provide cover and competition for Kepa at Chelsea in the upcoming season.
The goalie has signed up for seven years at Stamford Bridge with the Blues, and he is expected to be a substitute for the number one goalkeeper.
The contract has a release clause attached to it and is also open to additional add-ons.
The Blues will kick off their first match of the new season this weekend with the new keeper at their side against Liverpool.
The goalkeeper is the latest signing for Chelsea this summer, strengthening the squad.
Sanchez already has an acquaintance with Levi Colwill and Marc Cucurella from his time in Brighton.
Robert’s career so far:
The Spanish-born goalie started his early career in Spain.
He plays for the Spain national team and is a professional goalkeeper.
Has played for Brighton from 2018–2023, loaned to Rochdale.
He moved to England at the age of 15 to sign for Brighton and Hove Albion before signing his professional contract in June 2015.
He enjoyed his early career playing for Spain’s local team, Escuela de futbol de Santa Ana.
In conclusion, He has been called up to the Spanish team several times to represent the country in international matches. He was called up for the last UEFA Nations League competition.
