The two goals scored by Raphinha in Saturday’s stunning 4-3 comeback against Celta Vigo moved him up to 50 goals for Barcelona, overtaking the likes of David Villa and Thierry Henry in the club’s history books.
The Brazilian’s brace in the second half at the Montjuic allowed him to overtake two legends of the game, like David Villa and Thierry Henry, who sit on 48 and 49 goals, respectively, and etch his name further into the club’s history books.
However, scoring a 98th-minute winner to complete Barcelona’s stunning comeback against Celta Vigo and move his side seven points clear at the top of the La Liga standings was itself a reward for Raphinha. Reaching 50 goals for Barca was the cherry on top.

Raphinha’s half-century comes in his 135th appearance for the Catalans, but there is a specific statistic that makes his milestone that much more impressive. 30 of his 50 goals were scored this season across all competitions.
With the goal he set up for Dani Olmo in the 64th minute of the fixture, he now has 21 assists this term with the ‘Blaugrana’ outfit (44 in total). Additionally, this brings him up to 51 goal contributions in what has turned out to be the season of his life. And it is still not over.
In conclusion, as he is about to conclude his third season with the club, the 28-year-old winger has registered more goals this term than in his first two campaigns combined (10 goals in each). 15 in La Liga, 12 in the Champions League, 1 in the Spanish Super Cup, and 1 in the Spanish Cup.
