Odion Ighalo Joins Al Wehda From Al Hilal

Formal Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo officially completes his move from Al Hilal to Al Wehda on a free transfer.

Odion Ighalo has put down a two-year contract with Al Wehda, keeping him until 2025 after the expiration of his contract with Al Hilal.

The Nigerian international, who has been in Saudi Arabia for the past two seasons, joins another Saudi club, Al Wehda.

The 34-year-old Nigerian, who was a former player for Manchester United, has found favor playing for Saudi Arabia.

The Mecca-based outfit company announced the arrival of Igalo on Tuesday.

The former Super Eagles striker was the top goalscorer in a Saudi pro league two seasons ago, scoring 20 goals altogether in the two seasons.

He won the league title and the Saudi King’s title during his stay at Al Hilal. However, Ighalo has been sensational since moving to Saudi Arabia two years ago to Al Shabab.

The Nigerian striker, who has netted 52 goals in 78 matches in Saudi Arabia for both Al Hilal and Al Shabab, is now ready to continue the good run with Al Wehda.

Before choosing to move to the oil-rich region of Saudi Arabia, Odion established himself in mainstream Europe with Granada in Spain, Udinese in Italy, Manchester United, and Watford United in the English Premier League

Born on June 16, 1989, he is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays in Arabia with Al Wehda as a forward.I

Ighalo returned to the Premier League in 2020 to Manchester United, where he was on loan for the 2019/20 season, but the loan was extended till 2021.

In 2014, he signed up for Watford, who were then in the EFL, where he was an integral part of the squad and was promoted to the Premier League in the 2014-15 season.

In January 2017, Ighalo joined Chinese Super Cup side Changchun Yatai for a reported fee of £20 million and was later Signed by Shanghai Shenhua.
