The Common Man’s Party (CMP) presidential candidate Mubarack Munyagwa has accused the National Unity Platform (NUP) of going with the same supporters wherever they organize their rallies from.
Today in an exclusive interview with NBS Television’s Morning Breeze talk show, Munyagwa said that NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine, moves with a “fixed group” of supporters who appear at multiple rallies across the country.
“Wherever Bobi Wine goes, you see the same faces, the same people pretending to be local supporters,” he added.

“That is not organic mobilization. Our approach is different—we hold mini rallies that attract residents from within those areas, not imported crowds.”
He explained that his campaign model prioritizes grassroots participation and community engagement through smaller rallies that allow him to “connect directly with voters and gauge genuine local support.”
Munyagwa’s remarks come amid intensifying competition within the opposition ahead of the 2026 general elections, with new political formations seeking to challenge both the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) and the NUP for influence.
Furthermore, Munyagwa said the Common Man’s Party would focus on bread-and-butter issues such as unemployment, corruption, and inequality, positioning itself as the “true voice of the ordinary Ugandan.”
In conclusion, Munyagwa encourages Robert Kyagulanyi to stop moving with the same people in his rallies; it’s better to be with the small number than transporting supporters.
