A police inquest has been launched in Buikwe District following the mysterious death of a suspected sex worker at Brandon Bar and Guest House in Kyabagu Village, Namwezi Zone, Njeru municipality. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning and has left the local community in shock.
The establishment, owned by Brian Balanyeki, is currently being managed by his wife, Rachael Kugumikiriza, as Balanyeki is on remand at Bugungu Prisons.
Following the discovery of the body, Kugumikiriza reportedly fled the scene and is now on the run, adding to the growing suspicion surrounding the case. The Ssezibwa Region Police Spokesperson, Hellen Butoto, identified the deceased as 45-year-old Rachael Naigaga.
Authorities are working to piece together the events that led to Naigaga’s death, with the inquest focusing on gathering evidence and interviewing potential witnesses.
