Gerard Martin told Uncovered Ug reporters that “I’m very proud of everything I’m achieving and hope everything continues like this. I have to keep working and make the most of all the opportunities I have and, in the end, win as many titles as we can, which is always Barca’s objective”.

Signed last season from Cornella by Barca Atletic, with whom he was an undisputed starter under Rafa Marquez, Martin (Barcelona, 2002) earned the trust of first-team coach Hansi Flick this season.
The 22-year-old Catalan full-back was part of Flick’s squad for the summer tour of the United States, an opportunity he took advantage of and which led him to make his official debut with the first team on the first day of La Liga against Valencia. Martin came on in the 63rd minute in place of Alejandro Balde.
